When you connect Notion to Nomio, Notion’s agents will be able to search the agreements, data points, documents and clauses in your Nomio repository, and use that alongside other services connected to Notion.

How to Connect

  1. Ask Nomio to enable External Agents on your account.

  2. Go to Settings → Connections → Manage and Enable custom MCP servers.

  3. Go to Settings → Connections: you should now see the Custom MCP connector*.*

Once enabled, you can use the Custom MCP connector to connect Notion to Nomio’s MCP server.

Once enabled, you can use the Custom MCP connector to connect Notion to Nomio’s MCP server.

  4. Click Custom MCP and fill out the short form:

    | MCP Server URL | **https://region.nomio.com/mcp** where region is either app (UK), eu or us. | | --- | --- | | Name | Nomio | | Authentication | OAuth | | Scopes | All |

  5. You’ll be shown an Authorization page, asking you to log into Nomio (if you haven’t already) and confirm that you want to connect Notion to Nomio.

  6. Once you approve, the connector is live. To test it, start a new conversation, enable Nomio from the + menu, and ask:

    List my agreements in Nomio

If your real data comes back, you're connected!

Security

When a user connects an agent provider like Notion to Nomio, the agent requests data through the Nomio MCP server. The same permissions apply as when using Nomio directly i.e. each user can only access the agreements and data they can already see in the Nomio application. If a user can't see something in Nomio, they can't share it with the agent.

The data supplied by Nomio via the MCP server is then processed by Notion under the terms you have in place with them, not under your agreement with Nomio. Therefore, we cannot accept any liability or responsibility for the actions Notion - including its answers, its availability, or how it handles your data.

We strongly recommend only connecting Nomio to Notion after reviewing the legal terms that apply with Notion. This is to give you visibility and control over how your data is handled, where it's processed, and what your data will be used for.

Agents & Security

⚠️

Don’t give Notion Agents access to Nomio MCP.

Notion allows you to set up custom agents, and connect those to MCP servers. However, the authentication (and therefore access) for these agents is shared; this means anyone using the agent can see everything that the authenticated user in Nomio can see.

For example…

  1. Alice, an administrator, sets up a Notion Agent and gives it access to Nomio MCP. She is asked to sign in, and does so.
  2. Alice shares this agent with her colleagues.
